POPIA Section 71 Compliance Notice

AgentIX (Pty) Ltd operates an AI-powered automation platform ("AgentIX"). In providing our Services, we engage in automated processing of personal information, including automated decision-making. This Disclosure is provided in compliance with section 71 of POPIA and as a matter of transparency to our users.

2. What Is Automated Processing?

Automated processing means that personal information is processed using software systems without meaningful human review at every step. Automated decision-making is a subset of this, where decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals are made, in whole or in part, by automated means without human intervention.

4. Automated Decisions With Significant Effects

Where automated processing results in decisions that have significant effects on you (for example, account suspension based on fraud detection systems), we will:

• Notify you of the decision and the basis on which it was made.
• Provide you with an opportunity to request human review of the decision.
• Allow you to object to the decision or provide additional context.

We apply data minimisation principles to our AI systems: only the personal information necessary for the specified purpose is processed. AI-generated outputs are not used to make inferences about individuals beyond what is necessary for the Services you have requested.

7. Your Rights in Relation to Automated Processing

Under POPIA section 71, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing if that decision produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. You also have the right to:

• Know when automated decision-making is being applied.
• Understand the logic involved in automated decisions that affect you.
• Request human review of any automated decision.
• Object to automated processing on grounds relating to your specific situation.
